St. John’s seventh grader Blake Schmidt had a fine day at the IESA State track meet this past weekend. He received 2nd place in the discus. Schmidt threw the discus 120.1 feet, which wasn’t even close to the personal record for him but was good enough for 2nd place. He also got 15th place in the shot put.
