The Morgan County Garden Club recently announced the details of its annual June Garden Walk.
The group invites members of the public to enjoy several beautiful gardens in the Jacksonville area on a Sunday, June 8. Participants may tour the gardens in any order from 1:00 to 4:30 p.m.
According to the group’s press release about the event, 2025 marks the 14th Garden Walk sponsored by Hope Circle of Centenary United Women in Faith.
The suggested donation for attendance is $10 per person. The admission fee goes toward funding mission trips.
Tickets will be available at any of these gardens on the day of the walk:
ν David and Jan Adams – 11 Wadsworth Drive
ν Jerry and Jeanne Byal – 1317 S. Clay Avenue
ν Mary Lou Lael – a restored prairie and 6-pool wetland in rural Ashland
Driving directions will be available on the day of the walk.
ν Ann Large – 1618 S. Clay Avenue – Ann is sharing her garden in memory of her friend and fellow gardener, Marilyn Sorrill.
ν Joe and Karen Nolan – 9 Jacobs Lane
ν Jacksonville Parks Foundation aGROWhood farm – Hosted by Dr. Michael Wood – It runs along the town brook from the corner of S. Church and W. Chambers Streets.
