A Pittsfield man, David L. Allen, 52 was sentenced to five years in the Illinois Department of Corrections for two (2) counts of failure to register as a sex offender. The sentencing took place May 27 in the Pike County Courthouse.
The case began on Feb. 18 when Chief Deputy Zack Orr conducted a criminal investigation into a violation of the Illinois Sex Offender Registration Act.
According to a release from the Pike County Sheriff’s office, subsequent to an investigation, Allen was found to be non-compliant and was arrested on several counts of failure to register as a sex offender.
