The Tri-County Antique Club recently announced the recipients of this year’s annual education scholarship award.
Club Treasurer Tom Bechtold presented $500 scholarships awarded to Meredith Doughty, a 2025 graduate of Jerseyville High School, and Southwestern High School graduate Emily Raymer. Doughty will be attending Murray State University in Kentucky and Raymer will be attending Lewis and Clark Community College.
The Tri-County Antique Club will also be holding their 34th Annual “Olden Days” on Saturday, Aug. 23, and Sunday, Aug. 24, “under the windmill” at 23946 State Highway 3 in Dow.
The grounds will open at 7 a.m. each day with breakfast served both days until 10 a.m.
Threshing and sawmilling start at 10 a.m. on Saturday, with the garden tractor pull at 11 a.m., the pedal tractor pull at 1 p.m. and the parade of power at 2 p.m. and the day concluding at 5 p.m.
The grounds open again at 7 a.m. on Sunday with free admission from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. At 9 a.m. country church will start followed by threshing and saw milling at 10 a.m., the car show at 11 a.m., pedal tractor pull at 12 p.m., garden tractor pull at 1 p.m., plowing demonstration at 1 p.m., and the parade of power at 2 p.m.
The weekend will also include raffles, covered wagon rides, the tool museum and the blacksmith shop will be open all day both days.
Admission is $5 per person and free for children 12 and under.
