Following Monday night’s Pike-Scott Farm Bureau Legislative Steak Fry, State Representative C.D. Davidsmeyer speaks with Pittsfield Mayor Gary Mendenhall while Christie Mendenhall signs a petition form in support of Davidsmeyer’s campaign for reelection to represent the 100th District. According to Pike-Scott Farm Bureau Executive Director Jenna Morrow, the purpose of the steak fry is to recognize the efforts of local, state, and national elected officials for their work to advance the policy initiatives supportive of the agriculture industry.

United States Representative Mary Miller (IL-15) speaks with Scott County Commissioner John Simmons and his wife Kathy Simmons before guests were seated at the annual Pike-Scott Farm Bureau Legislative Steak Fry, which took place Monday evening in Pittsfield. Winchester’s Colin Kuchy is in the background. This is the first time in several years that a member of Congress was present in-person at the steak fry. The steak fry is an opportunity for local Farm Bureau members to connect directly with elected officials.
