Milli Maynard scored three runs and pitched three hitless innings to lead West Central to a 17-3 win over New Berlin Aug. 14 in junior high softball at Winchester.
The Cougars led 3-0 before they scored six runs in the third inning.
Maynard walked to lead off the bottom of the first inning. She scored second and third base and scored on a ground out by Kinsley Fryman.
Kinsey Rose walked and scored on a passed ball. Sydni Evans walked and scored on a wild pitch.
Emma Chapman, Sadie Rose, Fryman, Evans, Aubree Sweeten and Ronni Hubbert all scored in the second inning. Evans, Chapman and Addie Fuhler all drove in runs.
West Central scored eight runs in the third inning.
Maynard doubled and scored two runs in the inning. Fryman, and Sweeten both singled, scored and drove in runs.
Maynard had a double, scored three runs and stole two bases in the game. She pitched the first three innings and struck out nine batters.
Fryman, Evans and Sweeten each had two hits, scored two runs and drove in one run. Chapman had one hit, scored two runs and drove in one run.
Hubbert had one hit and scored two runs. Fuller scored one run and drove in one run. Sadie Rose scored two runs, and Kinsey Rose scored one run.
