The Pittsfield High School Golf team is off to a strong start in their first two meets.
Aug. 20, the Saukees were at Plum Creek in Winchester for a meet with West Central. As a team, they shot a 146.
Brody Tomhave was leader with 32, Isaac McGlauchlen, followed with 36, Colby Hayes, 39 and Maxwell Bonnett, 39.
In the Saukee Invitational Saturday at Old Orchard Country Club, the Saukees took first with a 317. Brown County took second, edging out Rushville, 354-355, fourth went to West Hancock with 363, fifth, West Central, 386, Liberty, 390. Griggsville-Perry, 440 and Payson, 452.
Individual scores for Pittsfield were: Colby Hayes, 74, Isaac McGlauchlen, 75, Brody Tomhave, 82 and Bobby Harris, 86.
Hayes with 74 was the medalist.
For Griggsville-Perry, Brian Embree shot a 94, Aaron Kurfman, 109, Hunter Brown,113, Knox Dunham and Ryan Phillips both with 124 and Kason Brown,125. Alternates for G-P were Ben Bradshaw, 134 and Logan Sidwell, 125.
