Next week will be the first issue of the River County News.
As announced last month, Better Newspapers, Inc. and River County News are combining the five county papers produced at the Jerseyville office into one weekly publication.
Starting on Wednesday, Sept. 10, the Calhoun News-Herald, Greene Prairie Press, Jersey County Journal, Pike Press and Scott County Times subscribers will begin to receive the new River County News paper.
Readers can expect to see more regional content and more information about what’s going on in their neighboring communities while our reporters continue to focus on local coverage for each county.
As a result of the transition, readers who currently receive the Jersey County Journal will need a paid subscription to River County News to continue receiving the content regularly included in the Jersey County Journal.
