Man charged with DUI and possession following accident

Justin J Seivers
On Tuesday, Aug. 19, at approximately 9:11 a.m., the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a two-vehicle traffic crash with injuries, which occurred near the intersection of Mississippi River Road and Rose Lane, Golden Eagle, Calhoun County, Illinois.
The Point Fire Protection District responded first to the crash. Chief Deputy Zach Hardin responded to the scene and Calhoun County Volunteer EMS dispatched two ambulances.
Injured parties were treated on scene and transported by Calhoun EMS to area hospitals for treatment.
Subsequent to an investigation into the traffic crash, Justin J Seivers, aged 44, of Meppen, Illinois was arrested for the following offenses:
ν Aggravated DUI – 3rd or Subsequent,
ν Possession of Controlled Substance,
ν Possession of Hypodermic Syringe,
ν DUI: Drugs
Sievers was arrested without incident and transported to the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office.

All suspects are innocent until proven guilty.
