Calhoun scored 10 straight points in the second set and beat West Central 25-15, 25-19 in volleyball Sept. 11 at Bluffs.Mia Sievers had three straight ace services, and the team teams were tied at 6-all in the second set, and the teams were tied at 10.Jada Lawson had two ace services, and the Cougars led 12-10. JJ Weber had a kill that gave West Central a 14-12 lead.The Cougars led 17-13 after another ace serve by Sievers and a kill by Kiara Sanders.Calhoun then scored the next 10 points and went on to win the second set.Sievers had a service ace, and West Central led 4-2 in the first set. Weber had a kill to give the Cougars a 5-3 lead.Calhoun scored the next five points and never trailed again in the set.Sievers, Weber and Jady Lawson had kills later in the set.
