The Jerseyville community got together last Thursday for the Jerseyville Public Library’s annual Neighborhood Block Party. Lafayette Street was closed between the courthouse and the library to make room for games, face painting, hotdogs grilled up by the Sheriff’s Department and story time with Miss Jersey County. Library Director Judy Pruitt said the party is a great chance for the community to connect with each other, make new acquaintances and have some fun at the library. (Steven Spencer/River County News)
