Roodhouse Police Department and the White Hall Drag-O-Way had their annual Trunk or Treat Friday night around the Roodhouse Square and the square was literally packed with more than 500 children, along with their parents and guardians, who came up to get candy and free hot dogs served up by Lighthouse Outreach Center. The annual event draws children from around the surrounding towns every year and seems to grow bigger and bigger every year.

Carol Robison and Jennifer Prosser served up hundreds upon hundreds of hot dogs to children and adults alike. There was also an abundance of hot chocolate to keep everyone warm on a rather chilly night. (Carmen Ensinger/River County News)
