Tri-County Charitable Ministries is preparing to make the holidays special for everyone, especially those in need, with their annual gift collection and distribution project.
The former Angel Ministries volunteers have kept the spirit of the Angel Tree efforts alive and will be placing Christmas Wish boxes around the community with wishlists attached for those in need.
Marie Mangrum, board member with Tri-County Charitable Ministries, said they were able to supply Christmas gifts for approximately 160 children last year.
“Watch for our Christmas Wish boxes placed around the community,” Mangrum said. “Wishes to be purchased will be hung on the boxes. Gifts do not need to be wrapped. You can also pick up wishes at our store.”
Tri-County Charitable Ministries’ mission is to help anyone in their time of need, not just during the holidays. While their Christmas Wish program is a huge project, they offer help year-round.
Everything they offer is free, and they can help with anything from toothpaste to furniture.
Anyone in need of assistance, or interested in volunteering or donating, can call 618-946-4535, email [email protected], visit the Tri-County Charitable Ministries Facebook page, or visit their location at 1610 S. State Street in Jerseyville.
