Laynie Hart a junior at Pittsfield High School, finished fourth in the 100m fly and third in the 100m breast stroke in the swimming sectional held in Pekin over the weekend.
Her finishing times were 1:02.49 in the 100m fly and 1.07.74 in the breast stroke.
Hart dropped time in both events but missed the state qualifying time by .49.
Swimmers had to finish first or meet a state qualifying time to advance to state competition.
Hart swims year around with the Sheridan Swim Club in Quincy. She is the daughter of Luke and Michelle Hart of Pittsfield.
