Calhoun unit 40, elementary, junior high, and high school demonstrated the true meaning of teamwork this month. The character trait for the month was CKH, Capturing Kids Hearts. Throughout the month of November, they organized a very successful can drive. Thanks to the collective efforts from students, staff and their family members they collected 1,700 items to donate to St. Vincent de Paul food pantry. Including canned goods, toiletries, pasta and other essentials. The 8th grade students held a fundraiser selling snacks during lunch on a food cart for grade 5th through 8th to purchase. Their hard work resulted in $350 cash being donated. The November food drive not only supported local families but also reinforced the power of kindness, leadership, and teamwork.
