On Dec. 3, 2025, just after 11 p.m., Jersey County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) K9 Deputy Justin Decker stopped a red minivan on South State Street in Jerseyville, Illinois. Four individuals were in the van. The Sheriff and Jerseyville Police Department (JPD) Officers assisted with the stop. One of the paggengers in the van, Albert A. Pace II (age 61), was subsequently arrested after drug paraphernalia was found on his person. Pace was transported to the Jersey County Jail where a quantity of suspected crystal methamphetamine was found hidden on his person.
Jersey County State’s Attorney Ben Goetten charged Pace with Unlawful Possession with Intent to Deliver 15 to 100 grams of Methamphetamine, a Class X Felony. If convicted, Pace faces a term of imprisonment of six to 30 years.
Pace was detained and is being held in the Jersey County Jail. He is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
