Most would agree a fun and up-and-coming pastime for all ages is the game of corn hole. Calhoun Elementary/ Jr. High PE teacher Mr. Mac wanted to have actual corn hole boxes in order to teach the students the rules and regulations of playing the game. So he collaborated with Mr. Grimes the shop teacher at Calhoun high school and his class to build the boxes. He then collaborated with Calhoun art teacher Sarah Becker. Mrs. Becker held a design contest for the designs that would be painted on the boxes, teachers and staff then voted. Upon completion of the boards being built the students then painted them. All of the students and the staff are excited to let the games begin.
