Not only was Thursday night’s matchup between the Calhoun Warriors and West Central Cougars Senior recognition night for the Calhoun Warriors, but both teams had two very special athletes playing with them.
Braylee Littig of the Cougars is back on the court after battling leukemia.
Warrior Senior Kiera Sievers also got to join the starting lineup for the Warriors. Kiera has a mystery neurological disorder, a low grade glioma of her brain and has been battling seizures since October of 2023. After tip off Kiera scored the first two points of the game for the Warriors and was assisted off the court by her Dad Shawn.
Braylee scored the first two points for the Cougars and continued to play the game with the Cougars.
Fans of all ages from both teams stood and cheered for both girls.
The final score saw West Central take the win 44-33.
