The West Central Lady Cougars bid for a State Championship ended at Pleasant Plains on March 2 with a 51-39 Super-Sectional loss to Brown County. The Lady Cougars couldn’t develop a rhythm and were outscored in all but the last quarter. Brown County jumped out to a 13-6 first quarter lead and took a 23-12 lead into the locker room at half time. Brown County only scored three more than West Central in the third and the Lady Cougars actually outscored Brown County in the fourth quarter 16-14, but the damage was already done.
