Farmers State Bank in Pittsfield announces promotion of Abby Whewell to Vice President

Nevin Grigsby, President and CEO, of Farmers State Bank in Pittsfield, IL is proud to announce the promotion of Abby Whewell to Vice President. Abby has played an integral role in shaping the bank’s marketing and client experience efforts over the past seven years, helping create a consistent and relationship-focused experience across all six locations.
In her new role, Abby will continue leading the bank’s marketing and client experience initiatives, with a focus on strengthening customer relationships, enhancing brand visibility, and supporting the bank’s continued growth and commitment to exceptional service.
“Over the past seven years, Abby has taken on various responsibilities throughout our company, showcasing her ability to excel in each new challenge handed to her,” said Grigsby. “Her resourcefulness, passion, and ability to connect with employees at all levels have played a large role in moving our customer experience forward.”
Abby joined Farmers State Bank in 2019 as the Marketing and Client Experience Coordinator and was promoted to Client Experience Manager in 2021. In 2023, she was promoted to Marketing Director, Client Experience Officer. In 2025, Abby was recognized nationally with the Rising Star in Banking Award by the Institute for Extraordinary Banking.
She is a graduate of Winchester High School and earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Marketing and Management from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Abby currently lives in rural Morgan County with her husband, Brandon, and their son, Jack.
