Myah Little doubled twice, scored two runs and drove in two runs, and West Central rallied to beat Pleasant Hill 10-7 in softball May 7 at Winchester.
Pleasant Hill led 4-1 after the top of the second inning and 5-4 after the top of the third inning. The Cougars scored three runs in the bottom of the second, two in the third and three in the fourth and held on for the win.
Lexi Whitehead reached on an error in the second inning and scored on a single by Mia SIevers. Little singled, and JJ Weber doubled to drive in Sievers and Little to tie the game at 4.
Pleasant Hill scored one in the top of the third, but the Cougars took the lead in the bottom of the inning.
Hallee Lawson reached on an error, and Jerzi Clark singled. Both runners scored on errors.
Jada Lawson walked to lead off the fourth inning, and Myah Little reached on an error. Lawson scored when Weber grounded out, and Little scored on a passed ball. Kynlee Price walked, stole second and scored on a single by Clark.
West Central added an insurance run in the sixth. Price doubled and scored on an single by Hallee Lawson.
The Cougars (9-12) scored their first run in the first inning. Little doubled and scored when Weber doubled.
Little finished 2-for-4 to lead West Central. Weber went 2-for-4 with a double and drove in two runs. Clark went 2-for-4, scored one run and drove in one run.
Price went 1-for-3 with a double and drove in two runs. Hallee Lawson went 1-for-4, scored one run and drove in one run. Jada Lawson went 1-for-4 and scored two runs.
Sievers went 1-for-3, scored one run and drove in one run. Whitehead scored one run.
Weber pitched the final four and one-third innings and gained the victory. She allowed two runs, neither of which were earned and two hits. She walked two batters and struck out eight.
