Calhoun County Swimming Pool is now open to the public

June 21 – Father’s Day /Summer Begins
June 18 – Bingo 11:45 am
June 30 – Monthly Drawing
Lunch served daily from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m.
The DMV Mobile Unit will be at the Calhoun Extension Office, Hardin, Illinois on the following days: July 10, September 4, and November 6. All of these days are on a Friday and take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Please call 618-576-2293 to make an appointment.
The Senior Center offers the frozen meals program. This consists of 7 frozen meals that are picked up once a week also, 14 meals can be picked up every other week. This includes; meals, milk, bread and desserts. These are very helpful for anyone that is homebound and is unable to come in and eat.
What you need to know about getting Medicare. Medicare is certainly a milestone in one’s life. Most people have heard about Medicare but there are people that have not. Medicare is different from the insurance you may be on now. Medicare is health insurance for individuals 65 and older. However, if an individual has a disability or End-Stage Renal Disease they could be eligible for Medicare. Some people get Medicare automatically but there are times that others may have to sign up for it. This really depends are your situation. Wednesday, June 10: Meatloaf, Mashed Potatoes and Gravy, Green Beans, 5-Cup Salad.
St. Vincent DePaul is open every Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., except the fifth Wednesday they are closed on that day. This organization helps with rent, utilities, mortgage, GED as well as the food pantry and clothing store. They are located in Hardin, Illinois.
Free Food Distributions takes place the second Monday of every month at the American Legion Post 1083 in Kampsville, Illinois. This is provided by Rood Access Resource Markets; St. Louis Area Foodbank.
