West Central finished with three top eight finishes at last weekend’s IHSA State Track and Field meet at Eastern Illinois University.
Carson Clevenger finished eighth in the 200 in :22.70. He advanced to the finals with a time of :22.03 in the preliminaries.
The Cougars finished fifth in the 4×100 relay in :42.82. They had a time of :43.04 in the preliminaries.
They finished seven in the 4×200 in 1:30.30. They had a time of 1:29.48 in the preliminaries.
Carson Clevenger, Liam Melanson, Brady Engelbrecht and Blayne Sidwell ran in both relays.
Dallas Surratt finished 11th in the 110 hurdles in :15.17. He missed the qualifying for the finals by just .01 of a second. He finished 15 in the 300 hurdles in :41.28.
Melanson finished 28th in the 100 in :11.27.
