School resource officer Tyler Johnson was named Illinois Juvenile Officers Association 2026 Juvenile Officer of the Year. Johnson was nominated for this honor by multiple staff members at Prospect High School where he is assigned. Detective Johnson is a seven year veteran of Mount Prospect Police Department and is currently assigned to the investigative unit tasked as the school resource officer at Prospect High School. School principal and staff have praised Detective Johnson for always going above and beyond to make a difference and being a positive role model.
