STEWART AND GUTHRIE crowned Miss and Little Miss Jersey County

Jersey County 2026 royalty was crowned last week, with Megan Stewart taking the reins as Miss Jersey County and Hannah Guthrie taking the reins as Little Miss Jersey County.
The new queens took over their duties after being crowned Wednesday night, signed their contracts, and got to work visiting local businesses, assisting at the swine and dairy show, visiting the rodeo and tractor pulls, enjoying some fair food, and Hannah’s favorite, riding carnival rides.
Miss Jersey County Megan Stewart, from Brighton, is an 18-year-old psychology student and cheerleader at Lindenwood University, and she is looking forward to representing Jersey County throughout the year.
“I’m just looking forward to spending time with Hannah and getting to represent the citizens of Jersey County, the best that I can,” Miss Jersey County said.
Stewart said this was her first time competing in a pageant like this and being crowned as the queen was surreal.
“It was honestly surreal,” she said. “I really can’t explain it, but I would recommend it to every young girl that thinks she wants to start in pageants.”
Although it’s just the start to her year as Miss Jersey County, Stewart said it’s off to a great start and is excited to represent Jersey County.
“It’s been the best couple of days, honestly. I have never done anything like this before, so it’s definitely been a different experience, and it’s gone really well so far. I can’t wait for the rest of the year,” she said.
Queen Megan said she’s grateful to represent the community as Miss Jersey County and would tell the residents that she’s glad they trusted her with the role.
“I would just like to tell them that I’m glad they trusted me with this role and I hope that they think I represent them well this entire year.”
Guthrie said she’s loved being crowned as Little Miss Jersey County and is excited for the year.
“I love being the queen,” Miss Hannah said. “I’ve been doing a lot of stuff and riding rides.”
Miss Hannah said so far her reign as Little Miss Jersey County has been exciting, but the best part has been all the rides.
“My favorite ride has been Cliff Hanger,” she said.
