Kenneth Dale Fallin | 86 | Jerseyville

Kenneth Dale Fallin, of Jerseyville, passed away on June 3, 2025 at the age of 86 at Evelyn’s House, an amazing hospice facility in Creve Coeur, Missouri, after suffering from a broken heart just 57 days after the passing of his beautiful bride of 66 years, his devoted wife Carole.
Ken was born in Alton, Illinois on June 24, 1938. He attended high school in Indiana, where he reconnected with his high school sweetheart Carole, whom he had originally met in Kindergarten. Sharing a love of music, they were both in high school choir and Ken was the Drum Major for the band. He and Carole briefly attended Ball State University but left to get married. Ken served in the Army for a time and after six and a half years and the birth of their two children, they relocated to Southern California where they lived for over 40 years. Ken retired from Southern Pacific Railroad where he managed a “piggyback” warehouse. He then established his own business named Kenkleen Janitorial Services. He survived a catastrophic stroke at the age of 45 and fought back to be able to walk again when told he never would.
When in California, Ken was instrumental in founding a small baptist church in 1976 where he also served as Chairman of the Board of Deacons for many years. The church has grown to minister to many hundreds of members and visitors to this day due to the vision of Ken and the other faithful founding members.
Ken and his wife relocated to the midwest purchasing his mother’s house in Jerseyville after Carole’s retirement in 2003 and his family followed not long after.
Ken was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather who kept his family entertained with his colorful and extravagant storytelling. He had a great sense of humor and was very loved.
Ken leaves behind his daughter, Beth (Elizabeth) Fallin Smilack; his son, Todd Fallin; his beloved and only grandson, Jared Smilack and his precious granddog, Bella, all of Jerseyville. Also surviving are his sister and brother-in-law, Julia and Lee Norrgard of Reston, Virginia; brother and sister-in-law, William (Bill) and Debbie Fallin of Jerseyville; sister and brother-in-law, Roxie and Sid Gresham of Jerseyville and brother-in-law and wife, David and Bonnie Sharp of Valparaiso, Indiana; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Ken was preceded in death by his wife, Carole Elaine Sharp Fallin and his parents, Harry and Inez Fallin.
Visitation was held from 10 a.m. until time of Funeral Service at 12 noon, Tuesday, June 10, 2025 at Crawford Funeral Home in Jerseyville, IL.
