Ellen Logsdon | 75 | Eldred

Ellen Logsdon, age 75, of Eldred passed away Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at Jerseyville Manor. She was born May 27, 1950, the daughter of Floyd “Doc” and Helen Gansz-Meyer.  She is survived by a niece, Denise Varble and a nephew Richie (Tricia) Ulery both of Carrollton, numerous great-nieces, and a great-nephew.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Linda Ulery, brother-in-law, Richard Ulery, and her son, David W. Meyer.  Ellen worked at Illinois Valley Economic Development Corporation for over 30 years.  Ellen enjoyed working with the clients through the rehabilitation program.  She considered many of them to be her family.  Ellen enjoyed playing bunco with friends, puzzles, going to bingo, and spending time with her family. She loved to crochet and was known for crocheting dish scrubbers.The family will host a Celebration of Life service at the Eldred American Legion on June 22, 2025 from 1-3pm with a desert to follow. Airsman-Hires Funeral Home in Carrollton is assisting the family.In lieu of flowers; donations can be made to Silver Creek Cemetery in Kampsville.
