News from Barrow Baptist Church and Pastor Mancel Day. Our service times are 9:30 a.m. Sunday school, followed by 10:30 a.m. morning worship. Everyone is welcome to either service and we are handicap accessible.
On Sunday, Oct. 19, we 14 attending Sunday school and 18 attending morning worship.
Remember our men and women in uniform and the leaders of our nation in your prayers. Happy belated birthday to Julie Leonard, Oct. 16. There are no new birthdays or anniversaries to report.
Don’t forget our adult VBS Saturday, Oct. 25, at 2 p.m.
We will again be participating in Trunk or Treat on the square in Roodhouse, Oct. 31 at 6 p.m. Our theme this year is “Jeepin for Jesus.”
Last Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday night we held services at our church with speakers from Alsey Baptist, Barrow Baptist, Gentle Shepherd and Pleasant Hill Baptist churches. We had good speakers, music, testimonies and lots of good cookies after each service.
We were small in attendance this morning. Several are out sick.
Hopefully you enjoyed our much needed rain we received on Saturday. Don’t forget to thank God for sending it.
As November approaches, we are again getting our shoeboxes ready for Operation Christmas.
Enjoy our cooler weather this week. I think fall has finally arrived.
