The Jersey Panthers saw a 3-2 victory last week against the Calhoun Warriors.
Things were tied up 2-2 at the end of the fifth inning with both teams scoring two runs in the fifth, but a single run in the final inning guaranteed the win for the Panthers.
Brady Maxeiner held the mound for Jersey while earning three hits at the plate, while Shane Lamer had a hit and Graham Vanausdoll drove in a run in the top of the seventh inning to secure the win.
The Panthers went on to take a 10-7 win against Civic Memorial in an MVC matchup later in the week.
Calhoun went on to take a 13-3 win against the Greenfield Tigers later in the week with Earl Elmore holding the mound for the Warriors.
