Anthony Hance had four hits to lead West Central to a 14-0 win over Western May 6 at Barry.
The Cougars (8-15) scored five runs in the fifth inning and three runs in both the first and fourth innings. They scored two runs in the second and one in the third.
Hance singled, and Tucker Arnold walked in the first inning. Hayden Johns singled and drove in Hance with the first run of the game. Arnold scored on an error, and Johns scored when Ben Bangert grounded out.
Hance doubled and drove in Corbin Arnold in the second inning. Hance scored when Tucker Arnold singled.
Blaine Vortman singled in the third inning, stole second and scored on an error. Johns doubled and drove in one run in the fourth inning. Bangert singled and drove in two runs.
Preston Adams doubled in one run in the fifth inning. Hance, Thrice Kirkpatrick and Bangert singled and drove in one run in the inning.
Hance went 4-for-4 with a double, scored three runs and drove in two runs for West Central. Vortman went 3-for-4 with a triple and scored one run.
Johns went 2-for-3 with a double, scored two runs and drove in two runs. Adams went 2-for-2 with a double, scored one run and drove in one run. Bangert went 2-for-4 and drove in two runs.
Tucker Arnold went 1-for-3, scored three runs and drove in one run. Kirkpatrick went 1-for-4, scored two runs and drove in one run. Corbin Arnold went 1-for-3 and scored two runs.
Kirkpatrick allowed just one hit over five innings and got the victory. He allowed just a two out double in the first inning. He walked one batter and struck out eight.
