Kenneth Watkins
On June 7, at 7:33 p.m., Deputies with the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on Illinois State Highway 100, near Crawford Creek, in Kampsville.
Subsequent to an investigation, the driver, Kenneth D. Watkins, 38, of Granite City, was arrested for the following offenses:
• Driving while license suspended;
• Obstruct / attempt to destroy evidence;
• Possession of methamphetamine;
• Possession of drug paraphernalia.
Watkins was arrested without incident and transported to the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office.
As is now required under the provisions of the new House Bill 3653, known as the SAFE-T Act; Watkins was booked and released with a Notice to Appear at a later date at the Calhoun County Courthouse.
All suspect(s) are innocent until proven guilty.
