As part of Illinois Joining Forces’ (IJF) ongoing support of Service Members, Veterans, and their Families (SMVF) during this time of rapid change, transition, and uncertainty, IJF has announced that its Care Coordination Center will expand services to administer courtesy wellness checks upon request.
IJF is a statewide, public-private network of military and veteran serving organizations working together to improve services for Service Members, Veterans, and their Families (SMVF). The IJF Care Coordination Center is open from Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. CST.
To request a wellness check for you or your Veteran, Service Member, or their family member please dial: 833-INFO IJF (833-463-6453) and a Care Coordination Center professional will customize and coordinate your high-touch, holistic experience — unique for your needs. This can be a single or ongoing wellness check, navigation support of Veteran Services Organizations, and more.
Former Director of the IDVA, and current Chair of the IJF Board of Directors Erica Borggren, weighed in:
“The current circumstances in Afghanistan are impacting so many of our Service members, veterans, and their families in Illinois. IJF wants you to know, you are not alone, we are here to help navigate the overwhelming avenues and options in search of the assistance you or a loved one need — and in our view, it starts with a simple phone call.”
