Ryan Moore scored five touchdowns to lead West Central to a 61-0 win over North Greene Oct. 1 at White Hall.
West Central scored seven touchdowns and scored 47 points in the first quarter against the Spartans.
Moore scored on West Central’s first play from scrimmage on a 43-yard run with 11:42 remaining in the first quarter. Mason Berry set up the touchdown with a 36-yard kickoff return.
The Cougars needed just 45 seconds to score their second touchdown after Chance Little recovered a fumble on the ensuing kick.
Lathan Barnett scored on an 18-yard run with 10:57 remained in the quarter.
Parker Hoots forced a fumble and recovered it on the ensuing North Greene possession. Moore caught a 24-yard pass from Tyson Brown for a touchdown with 6:42 remained in the quarter.
West Central scored four more touchdowns in the 6:20 of the first quarter.
Moore scored on a 36-yard run, Berry scored on a 37-yard interception return, Barnett scored on a 21-yard run and Moore scored on a 29-yard run. Landon Barnett kicked five extra points, and the Cougars led 47-0.
Moore scored on an 18-yard run, and Little scored on a 16-yard run in the second. Landon Barnett kicked both extra points, and West Central led 61-0 at halftime.
North Greene gained 86 yards of offense with the majority of their yards coming on runs of 43 and 29 yards in the first half. They Spartans had five first downs. The Spartans rushed for 25 yards on 16 attempts and completed 11 of 29 passes for 61 yards.
The Cougars finished with 372 yards and 19 first downs. They rushed for 331 yards and gained 41 yards passing.
Moore rushed for 153 yards on six attempts. Lathan Barnett rushed for 76 yards on six attempts. Little rushed for 68 yards on eight attempts. Conner Turner rushed for 18 yards on three attempts, and Hayden Jefferson rushed for 18 yards on four attempts. Will Mason rushed for two yards on two attempts. Brown completed two of three passes for 41 yards. Moore caught one pass for 24 yards, and Landon Barnett caught one pass for 17 yards.
Josh Bailey had nine tackles, including one for a loss, for West Central’s defense. Hoots had nine tackles and recovered a fumble. Landon Barnett had eight tackles, including two for loss, and recovered a fumble.
Little recovered a fumble. Berry and Brown intercepted a pass.
