Calhoun/Brussels won the third quarter of the Monday, Dec. 6, girls basketball game, but that was all, as the Jersey Panthers grinded for a 40-27 non-conference win at James A. Ringhausen gym in Hardin. The Lady Warriors unofficially shot below 20 percent from the field. Freshman Audrey Gilman led the Lady Warriors in scoring with 10 points while also collecting seven boards. Jersey was led by Tessa Crawford with 19, including four 3-pointers and five free throws.
The Lady Warriors will play at Pittsfield Friday in a game that has been moved from Thursday, due to the Pittsfield Lady Braves playing in the 7-3A state championship.
