The second annual Lucky Local Love Treasure Hunt was blessed with warm weather, clear skies, and customers eager to check out local businesses this past Saturday. The event was hosted by local group “SHOPTHE618” and sponsored by the Jerseyville Economic Development Council, Inc.. The March 5 event was the first shopping event hosted since October 2021.
Participating businesses offered a variety of deals for shoppers and prizes for attendees. The Selfie Challenge was won by Butch Dilks, who recieved a $10 game voucher from Uncorked Spirit. The participation prize was won by Linenetta Hughart, who received a Jersey Panther Football coupon card gifted by the Jerseyville Economic Development Council, Inc.. The Pot of Gold prize was won by Josie Thompson, who visited all participating businesses. Thompson will receive a variety of prizes from all participating businesses from the event.

Beyond the Backyard Gate employee, Linda Probst worked the register Saturday morning during the Lucky Local Love Treasure Hunt event. Water and snacks were also provided for customers.

Beyond the Backyard Gate primarily sells antique, vintage, and country-style home decor. Probst wraps a framed art piece purchased by a customer.

2nd Time Around Consignment Shop volunteer employee Alison Amburg and her brother, Greg Hamblen, manned the counter Saturday afternoon. Amburg said that the event had been very successful so far and that they had been keeping busy with customers.
