The Jerseyville City Council met on Tuesday at 6 p.m. for their regular meeting, which had a short agenda and no public comments.
The first item of business was a proclamation made by Mayor William Russell, recognizing Thursday, May 5, 2022, as National Day of Prayer. One day is set aside every year for people across the nation to spend some time in prayer, according to the proclamation.
The next order of business was the discussion of a one year retainer contract with Corktree Creative for marketing implementation. This contract will be paid for using TIF funds for half of the total cost of $12,000. The Council approved the item.
Additionally, the Council approved the minutes from the previous meeting as well as the bills as presented for March 22, 2022.
Finally, the Council went into closed session to discuss the purchase of property, personnel, and contract/lease agreements.
The Jerseyville City Council is scheduled to meet again on Tuesday, April 5, at 6 p.m.
