News from Pastor Mancel Day and Barrow Baptist Church. Our service times are 9:30 a.m. Sunday school, followed by 10:30 a.m. worship with kids church and nursery service available. Everyone is invited to either or both services, and we are handicap accessible.
On Sunday, May 8, we had 26 attending Sunday school and 38 attending morning worship.
Remember our men and women in uniform and the leaders of our nation in your prayers. Others to remember include Junia Day, Lois Hart, Rich and Judy Caskey, Rod and Connie Sturgeon, Bob and Stephanie Krempasky, Judy Cannon, Madisyn Smith, Art Rogers, George Rogers, Chuck Roberts, Shelta Hietbrink, Delores Cannon, Karla Cannon, Doug Norris, Nancy Stice, Makayla Brown and family, Owen Baird, Dalton Mitchell, Brayden Allen, Karla Schmidt, John and Karen Hardwick, Journee Vinyard, Carole Berry, Rich Icide, Darren and Shelly Pohlman, Tara Dawdy, Becky Camden, Kirsten Lair, Clea Shearer, Beau Church, Casey & Amanda Church, Sam & Carla Wallace, Adam & Ada Raines, Kerri Hull, Dixie Snyder and Terry and Cindy Meyer.
There are no birthdays or anniversaries to report this week.
Don’t forget our upcoming revival May 15 thru May 18, 7 p.m. nightly at the Barrow Baptist Church with Brother Cho Sargent as the speaker. We are doing this revival along with Emmanuel Baptist Church. Brother Rob Brogdon will lead the singing.
During morning worship, Melisa Smith gifted each mother with a flower. Hunter Carriger read a poem titled “Mom.” Kirk Baruxen sang “What A Day That Will Be” and “I Saw the Light.” Brother Bill Martin sang “Follow Me.”
Our ladies luncheon will be Tuesday, May 24, at the fellowship hall at 12 noon.
Our upcoming Bible school will be July 15-18.
