Each month, JCHS recognizes students through the FOCUS program. FOCUS, which stands for: Finding One Clearly Unique Student, is a program that acknowledges students each week for their performance in academics or kindness. Each week, teachers may recognize students who have performed well in their classes by selecting them as FOCUS students for that particular week. Students that receive the most nominations in a particular month are then selected to represent their class for that month. This month’s FOCUS student selections were sponsored by the Jerseyville Banking Center, CNB Bank & trust and the Jersey State Bank. The FOCUS students for the month of April are:
8th grade: Cloud Sutton.
Freshman: Kiley Pickel.
Sophomore: Reese Eschbach.
Junior: Jerra LaPlant.
Senior: Karli Talley.
