West Central’s baseball team ended the regular season with two wins last week.
The Cougars (13-12) beat North Greene 12-1 and followed that with an 8-2 win against Camp Point Central at home on May 13.
West Central begins postseason May 19 against Payson at 4:30. If the Cougars win, they will play Saturday, May 21 at 2 p.m. in the regional championship game. Brown County is the No. 1 ranked team in the regional while West Central is No. 2.
West Central’s softball team starts its postseason Monday, May 16 against Griggvsille-Perry at home at 4:30. The winner advances to play Brown County the following night in Mt. Sterling. Brown County is No. 1 ranked team in the softball regional.
