It is time to unlock your inner scientist! Join University of Illinois Extension and 4-H for an interactive workshop. Youth will gain scientific knowledge with hands-on experiments by participating in our 4-H Crazy Chemistry Camps. Participants will participate in simple experiments and learn about the basics of chemistry through experiencing some common reactions, like elephant toothpaste, fire snakes, and making slime. Everyone will receive a pair of safety goggles, a lab coat, and a booklet of science experiments for them to take home. We offer two sessions to choose from: Wednesday, June 15, from 9 to 11 a.m. or 1 to 3 p.m.
Registration is required due to limited spots available. Fees waivers are available. Close-toed shoes are required. It is recommended that long hair be pulled back or secured. You can register online at go.illinois.edu/crazychemistry or by calling Jersey County Extension Office at 618-498-2913. The sessions will take place at Jersey Community Township Building located at 720 IL-16 in Jerseyville. For more information about pricing and 4-H, please contact Jessica Jaffry at [email protected] or call the Extension office at 618-498-2913.
University of Illinois Extension provides equal opportunities in programs and employment. If you need a reasonable accommodation to participate in programming, call 618-498-2913. Early requests are strongly encouraged to allow sufficient time for meeting participant needs.
