The family of Kathryn (Kate) Christison will host an open house for family and friends to celebrate her 95th birthday on Sunday, Aug. 28, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Bluffs Senior Center.
Kate was born on Aug. 28, 1927 in Winchester, the daughter of Clarence and Edna Anders.
She married Raymond D. Christison on Aug. 6, 1948 in Arkansas. He passed away Nov. 8, 1999.
Kate is the mother of two children, Raymond E. Christison (Deean Foster) of Jacksonville and Gloria (Fred) Dunbar of Mount Sterling.
Her grandchildren are Ray, Eric (Misty), and Tyler Christison; Travis and Kyle (Misha) Allen; Kris Ann Rhoades; Cammie and Cory Dunbar; and Andrew and Sara Foster.
Kate also has ten great-grandchildren, Alexia, Chloe, and Amiah Christison; Austin Rhoades; Emma and Gabe Dunbar; Marcus Follis; Jade and Ashley Hull; and Gavin Zimmerman.
She has one great-great-grandson, Kash Gooding.
