• Friends of the Library is accepting book donations for a limited time in preparation for an October Book Sale. Bring gently used paperback or hardcover books to the library during regular library hours.Call 618-498-9514 for more information.Thank you.

• The Tri-County Antique Club will be holding their 31st annual fundraising event, the Olden Days, “Under the Windmill,” located at 23946 State Highway 3, Dow.
Saturday, Aug. 27:
• Village of Elsah Festival. From 1-5 p.m. the Village of Elsah will holding its first festival in three years. Live entertainment will be present during the event, with several activities provided during the day. Local vendors will be set up all through out the village selling a variety of items. A food tent will also be serving Hot dogs, chips, soda, water, and baked goods. LULU’S Shaved Ice and Poputopia Popcorn will be serving treats as well.
Friday, Sept. 23
• 1962 Class Reunion at Loading Dock, 401 Front St., Grafton, IL., at 3 p.m. There will be a tent reserved and attendees will order from the menu. RSVP with yes or no along with name, address, phone, and email address to JCHS Class of 62 Facebook page, or contact Ron Kessler at 217-565-1844.
