Eleanor Ann Kirbach | 90 | Carrollton
Eleanor Ann Kirbach, 90, died early Saturday morning, Aug. 20, 2022, at her home in Carrollton, IL. She was born on July 11, 1932, the youngest of 10 children born to the late Joseph and Nora (Goetten) Becker. On Nov. 11, 1953, she married Clarence Kirbach at St. Mary’s Westwoods Catholic Church, Fieldon, and became a farmwife, mother and talented seamstress. Clarence passed away May 4, 2015.
Survivors include: Daughters, Kathleen (Ed) Bain and Karen (deceased husband, Morris) Curtright, of Carrollton, and sons, Joe (Suzie Brown) Kirbach, of Jerseyville, and Steven (Missy Kitsmiller) Kirbach, of Fieldon; grandchildren, Ian Bain, of Decatur; Mitchell Kirbach and Jessie Kirbach, of Fieldon; sister-in-law, Delores “Dode” Becker of Fishers, IN. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, step-grandchildren, step great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandson. In addition to her parents, husband and son-in-law, she was predeceased by three sisters and brothers-in-law, Hilda and Harry Wacker, Frances and Kenneth Rice and Dorothy Becker and six brothers and sisters-in-law, Jerome Becker, Edward and Anna Becker, Clarence Becker, Joseph Becker, Marcus and Opal Becker, Bernard and Helen Becker.
She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Church in Carrollton and enjoyed her family most of all as well as sewing, visiting with her sewing customers and playing cards.
Mass of Christian burial will take place at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 26, 2022 at St. John’s Catholic Church in Carrollton with Father Tony Chowrappa officiating, burial to follow in St. John’s Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at St. John Catholic Church in Carrollton, where a prayer service will be recited at 3:45 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to either St. John’s Cemetery or St. John’s School. Airsman-Hires Funeral Home in Carrollton is in charge of arrangements.
