Pere Marquette is holding their 15th annual Apple Festival on Sunday, Sept. 18, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Warm apple pie, unique crafts, live music, and fresh produce are just a few of the offerings at the event.
Festivities will also include apple wine tasting, kid’s activities, and delicious restaurant favorites. An apple pie walk (similar to a cake walk) will be held at 12:30 p.m., where visitors will purchase tickets and take a walk for a chance to take home a fresh baked apple pie.
They will also be hosting the crowd favorite, Pumpkin Roll, at 2 p.m. Participants can bring their own pumpkin or purchase one at the festival to decorate for a competitive roll down the hill in front of the Lodge. Second and third place participants will win gift certificates for the restaurant and the fastest pumpkin will win the ultimate grand prize— a free night’s stay at the historic Lodge.
Admission is free and the event is open to the public. How about them apples?
