West Central won two matches at the Quincy High Early Bird Volleyball Tournament Aug. 27.
The Cougars (2-3) beat Galesburg 26-24, 14-25, 15-11 and East St. Louis Senior 27-26, 25-20. Pekin beat West Central 25-17, 25-17 and went on to finish second in the tournament.
Galesburg has an enrollment of 1,246, and East St. Louis has an enrollment of 1,133.
West Central also played Quincy High School in the tournament.
