The Calhoun Warrior Cheerleaders hosted a successful Little Warrior Cheer Night last Thursday evening at the Calhoun High School (CHS) Warriors Football Game against Mendon-Unity.
There were 75 little girls, preschool through fifth grade, attending a camp held the night before. There, they learned cheers, a dance, and enjoyed a snack.
On Thursday night, the little cheerleaders provided the halftime entertainment to a large crowd of fans at the first home Warriors football game of the season. They then lined up at the tepee to cheer the team on as they took the field for the second half of the game.
It was a successful game for Calhoun, who secured the win (full story on B2) and the 75 future cheerleaders went home looking up to some new role models after feeling like they were the star of the show.
Assisting the young ladies were Warrior cheerleaders, Paige Snyders (Captain), Mary Pluester, Ava Hurley, Kristen Fester, Reagan Clendenny, Ava Clowers, Liv Ralston, Lyrissa Johnson, Lexi Ralston, Claire Gould, Mia Krysl, Cheyenne Brundies, Skylar Giberson, Alicia Behrens, KayDence Williams, Karleigh Mason, Hannah and Taylor Klaas. The Warrior Cheerleaders are coached by Lindsey Taul.
