Pere Marquette Lodge held their annual Apple Festival on Sunday, Sept. 18, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The weather was warm and the sky was clear for the event which was well-attended by people from throughout the area.
The event was free to attend and there were dozens of vendors, both inside the lodge and just outside, selling produce, handmade items, baked goods, household decorations, and more. There was also a live band on the Winery Patio and wine tasting in the Mary Michelle Winery.
Additionally, there was an apple pie walk, where, for $1, participants competed for the chance to win a fresh apple pie. There was a pumpkin roll at 2 p.m. where people painted pumpkins and raced them down a hill— the event drew in 78 race participants.
According to event organizers, this year’s was the biggest Apple Festival Pere Marquette has seen.
“Our annual Apple Festival this Sunday is going down in Pere Marquette history,” reads a post from Pere Marquette’s Facebook page. “We had more vendors, guests, and apples than ever before.”
