Since those chilly temperatures have made their way into the area, the outdoor festivals are reaching their conclusion for the year– the fourth and final concert in the 2022 Rock the Block series will take place next weekend on Friday, Oct. 7.
The concert series was new this year and has been a community favorite over the spring and summer. This event will be held at 403 North state street featuring Captain Geech & The Shrimp Shack Shooters as the entertainment for the night. Live music will be performing from 5-8 p.m.
Local businesses representing the community at the event will include Pig on Wing, Los Tres Amigos, Germania Brew Haus, DJ’s Pub and Grill, George’s Local Brew, Red Bird Deli, Fran & Marilyn’s Restaurant, Casa Tequila, Jem Bar, and Brossio’s tavern. The US Veterans Foundation will also have a tent set up to serve patrons with grilled food items, along with merchandise, available for purchase. The KC Hall of Jerseyville, through the help of volunteers, will also be serving up beverages..
Anyone looking for further information on the event can find it at the Explore Jerseyville Tourism Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram pages. Information can also be found on their website, explore.jerseyville-il.com
