The Calhoun Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Hardin is hosting its first ever Fall Fest event this month.
The event will take place on Thursday, Oct. 20, from 12 to 5 p.m. and is free to the public. The day will include a selection of refreshments and activities for all ages.
Food will be available to visitors during the day, including chili and hot cider. A pumpkin painting contest will be held, with judges selecting the best painting. A photo booth and face painting booth will be open as well.
“We wanted to do something nice for the fall,” said activity director, Lea Miller. “We’re trying to have a community event for everyone to enjoy themselves.”
Bunkhouse Joe’s coffee will be set up at the center serving coffee to visitors looking for a little boost during the day.
Miller expressed her enthusiasm about the fall fest, noting that the residents are excited as well.
“I’m very excited for the event,” said Miller. “Our people at the center are looking forward to it as well.”
