Preparations for the Downtown Country Christmas Festival are underway.
Over the past two weekends, organizers and volunteers have been transporting decorations out of storage to start the setup at Dolan Park.
“We really need volunteers,” Cathie Ward, Downtown Country Christmas committee member, said. “We’ll work on the inside of the pool first and as time goes on we’ll start working on the grounds and we need all the help we can get. Every Saturday is a work day and everyone is invited to come out. We could sure use the help. It’s a big project.”
Work days will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Dolan Park every Saturday, this weekend the team will be working on marking trees and grounds for lights.
